The 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna was directed by Dev Anand and featured Zeenat Aman in the role of a drug addict named Jasbir Jaiswal. She played Dev Anand’s sister in the film. On September 23, 2024, Zeenat posted a picture of herself from the sets of Hare Rama Hare Krishna on her Instagram handle. In the picture, Zeenat looks very beautiful as ever and can be seen smoking a chillum. This picture is now going viral on social media. At the same time, the caption of the actress’s IG post has also created a lot of stir.
Along with the picture, Zeenat Aman wrote a long caption in which she talked about the shooting of her film’s hit track Dum Maaro Dum. The actress revealed that they were shooting in Kathmandu and Dev Anand had handpicked some hippies from the streets for the song. The actress said that the hippies were quite happy to work in a Bollywood film. Not only were they getting to pack hashish in their chillum in beautiful Nepal, but they were also getting free food, they were going to work in a Bollywood film and were getting paid to boot!
Zeenat had actually smoked a chillum
Further, in the caption, Zeenat Aman revealed that Dev Anand wanted the whole setup to look real, and that is when she decided to smoke the chillum. The actress confessed that she took long puffs of the chillum given to her by hippies when she was reportedly only 20 years old. After each take, Zeenat was taking puffs of the chillum, and by the end of the shoot, she was completely intoxicated. Recalling the day, Zeenat said that she started feeling dizzy and uncomfortable when she returned to the hotel after shooting the song.

At the end of her caption, Zeenat Aman also talked about her mother Sindha Heinz’s reaction when she found out that her daughter had smoked a chillum. The actress revealed that her mother was extremely angry and lost her temper on the crew members. Zeenat wrote, “When my mother found out what had happened she was furious and reprimanded the senior crew members for allowing her daughter to take “drugs”! Luckily, I was saved from her anger.”
